About the Entry

The official mobile hunting and fishing application from the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (DWR) was created to provide outdoorsman the very best information and technology available to help them enjoy their adventures in the state of Utah. The DWR designed the application to match the outdoor adventures available in the state. Utah.Gov is a leader in creating superior online solutions that improve the lives of its citizens and developed the application to improve hunters and anglers outdoor experience. The DWR surveyed the current technology and looked for ways to provide a leading edge solution. The division had to develop the application in such a way that it could be useful to help individuals and families get easily into the outdoors and be useful in remote areas where there may not be mobile service. One of the best features is the ability to purchase, download, store, and display hunting and fishing licenses right from a mobile device. In fact one user can store licenses for a whole family or group on one mobile device. Utah Hunting and Fishing is the mobile resource for wildlife events, licenses, permits, information, and communicating with the DWR for outdoor enthusiasts. Hunters and anglers can download all current valid and new licenses to their mobile device and display licenses for game wardens. From the application users can view walk-in-access properties, report poachers, and check shooting hours. The application also helps sportsmen identify wildlife, waterfowl, and fish species found in Utah.
