About the Entry

Band Mate was designed to give a prospective mens wedding ring buyer a much more effective and intuitive way to shop as opposed to traditional eCommerce methods. Sometimes, people base their decisions on thorough, deliberate, and rational choices. However, more often than not, our decisions result from thin-slicing and instinctive hunches about how to act.

In essence, Band Mate offers the user the opportunity to make quick and decisive choices by showing only the most important attribute of the product which, in the case of Band mate, is simply the main image of a ring. All other “noise” is filtered so the user can focus solely on their snap judgement of either liking or disliking the product. The effective result of using Band Mate is that it enables the user to quickly scroll though our product offerings and locate an item that resonates with them without having to navigate through an extensive website.

In addition to the unique user experience offered by Band Mate, we’ve also created a proprietary neural learning engine which builds a profile of every user during their interaction. As the user identifies a ring they like our program will proceed to show what other users ended up converting on based on similar surfing patterns. The end result is the more the user interfaces with the application, the smarter it gets at guessing what they might like to see (and purchase).
