To tie-in with mobile sourcing trend, Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) developed a 4-in-1 integrated application that consolidates information from its 30+ trade fairs, 20+ product magazines and online marketplace (http://sourcing.hktdc.com) into one single mobile platform named “HKTDC Marketplace” to cultivate seamless online-to-offline sourcing experience and facilitate year-round business connections between buyers and suppliers.
With personalised functions, the HKTDC Marketplace App recommends relevant trade fairs, product magazines and suppliers to buyers based on their industries, interests and needs, and keep them abreast with the latest industry news and product trends.
Through the App, buyers can locate exhibitors and plan their visits ahead of HKTDC trade fairs, as well as search for products and services and conduct instant online transactions. Electronic admission badges are also available where buyers can pre-register trade fairs and receive e-badges for fair visits.
Using the built-in QR code scanner, buyers can scan the dedicated QR codes which the HKTDC provided to exhibitors at their booths to view their company profiles and product information online, bookmark interested exhibitors, and send instant enquiries via their mobile devices.
E-business card function has been launched in July 2018 which allows users to create their profiles via the App, and exchange their e-business cards with other buyers and exhibitors via QR code scanning. The contact information gathered via the e-business cards can be exported to email system and whatsapp application for further business discussions.
