About the Entry

The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) gathered special and gifted educational professionals from around the world for their annual Convention & Expo in April.

Convention attendees found the mobile event app to be an effective time management tool. With more than 2,700 native mobile app downloads, fifty nine percent (59%) of the event attendees downloaded the native mobile app to access the latest session information, event announcements, and more. The solution was utilized heavily for session searches and itinerary planning. App users viewed session details over 150,000 times and added their preferred sessions to their personal itineraries more than 34,000 times. The mobile app’s title sponsor also received high interest with 612 direct visits from app users.
