About the Entry

The Cars.com iPhone app puts buyers in control of the car-buying process while they’re on the go. With the help of this mobile app, consumers can access all of their research needs wherever they are and whenever they want. Vehicle detail pages have been re-designed so that users can find the most important information even faster. With the ability to compare prices on the spot, shoppers have the opportunity to use this information in the negotiation process when buying a car. The Cars.com iPhone app gives car buyers the tools they need to make a confident purchase wherever they are.

While there are a few other automotive apps on the market, the Cars.com app was the first one to launch. There are several functions that are completely unique to the Cars.com iPhone app. The app provides car buyers with finance calculators, which help them figure out monthly plans and help them see if they can afford the car they want. In addition, it is the only automotive app that provides Carfax vehicle history reports. These reports allow consumers even more access to valuable information they need to make a confident purchasing decision. The Cars.com app is also the only app to have a link to dealers’ websites, which allows buyers to easily browse the dealers’ sites.

Since the launch of the Cars.com iPhone app in February of 2010, there have been millions of downloads since launch and over 75 million page views with users viewing 48 pages per visit to the application.
