Challenge & Objective: How can we build a WCAG 2.0 Accessibility Compliant Website for PG&E, the largest energy provider in California?
The Audience: Everyone. PG&E provides electricity and natural gas to over 15 million residential and business customers. One of the most diverse populations in the United States. Financial, political, religious, ethnic, and lifestyle differences vary greatly.
Strategy Behind the Work: Power Their Every Day: PG&E is a provider of energy to the vast majority of people in California. We wanted to give them access to everything PG&E has to offer, by choosing their own digital path, so PG&E can provide the best service possible to anyone and everyone who needs it. The website was designed to provide instant access to information regarding potential life threatening situations, such as: power outages, gas leaks, downed power lines and weather based emergencies.
Creative Solution: A 1000+ page, fully accessible WCAG 2.0 compliant website experience that everyone can access and use.
